As part of the pre-order commencement yesterday, an additional feature was announced for the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad.  The iPad will have the ability to read EPUB books out loud.  On the iBooks page, Apple stated “iBooks works with VoiceOver, the screen reader in iPad, so it can read you the contents of any page.”  The problem with this feature is that many people protested against the Amazon.com Kindle text-to-speech feature.  This led to a debate between the Authors Guild and the National Federation of the Blind with Amazon.com.  Will this result in a clash between Apple with Authors Guild and the National Federation of the Blind too?  Hopefully not.
