eMusic Owner Acquires The Orchard For $12.77 Million

JDS Capital owns eMusic and a company called Dimensional Associates.  Dimensional has acquired indie music distribution company The Orchard for $12.77 million.  Dimensional owns about 42% of Orchard’s common stock and 99% of outstanding A preferred which gives them about 53% of voting securities.  As part of the deal, there is a 30 day go-shop provision deal that welcomes any other interested buyers.  [paidContent]
