Sean Murtagh and Natalie Mead were supposed to get married in London after returning from a trip in Dubai. But then a volcano erupted in Iceland, resulting in a shut-down across many airports in Europe. Rather than missing out on their wedding, Sean and Natalie decided to get married anyway…. wait for it…. through Skype.
Sean borrowed formal clothes and Natalie put on her nicest dress. The airport also donated cake, flowers, and balloons. Their laptop broadcasted their vows through Skype to friends and relatives. “It was just like any other wedding except the bride and groom weren’t there,” stated Caroline Black, one of the wedding guests.
