Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is launching a new feature soon: pictures of business interiors. When potential customers search for local businesses, they will be able to judge the setting, ambiance, merchandise, etc.

Place Pages, the name of the new feature, currently features images that business owners and other third party websites have added. The photographs will be shot by Google photographers, who will arrange dates and times with the business owners to do a photo shoot.

The new feature will start first in 30 cities across the U.S., Australia, and Japan. You can learn more at: http://maps.google.com/businessphotos. [Google LatLong Blog]
