Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) has acquired crowdsourcing company Jigsaw for $142 million. Sugar CRM is a partner with Jigsaw, but directly competes against Salesforce.com.

Jigsaw uses a Wiki-style crowdsourcing model to create up-to-date business contact management systems. The data that is used in the contact management systems include content that is on business cards.

Companies can purchase contact data from Jigsaw. Salesforce.com recently launched Salesforce Chatter and Jigsaw will be integrated into the service for real-time feeds and updates. [ReadWriteWeb]
