LinkedIn has launched a key new feature for users to interact regularly with companies that they have an interest in. LinkedIn users can follow up with potential business opportunities and monitor job openings through the Company Profiles feature. To “follow companies” on LinkedIn, simply click “Follow Company” when hovering the mouse on the icon that appears by the company name of a user’s profile. You can also use the search engine to find the specific company of interest and follow it from their profile page.
As a starting point, the Company Profiles homepage recommends several brands to the users including IBM, Nike, Cisco, and Apple. In the notifications settings option, you can control how often company updates appear on your homepage or e-mail digest. LinkedIn currently has 65 million registered users. [LinkedIn Blog]
