Adam McKay Announces Anchorman 2 Isn’t Happening Via Twitter

Adam McKay, the director behind several of slapstick movies and partial owner in, announced on Twitter that Anchorman 2 isn’t happening.

The reason is because Paramount and McKay did not agree on a budget. Paramount owns the rights to the movie which is why McKay cannot take the idea to another studio.

Paul Rudd and Steve Carell even agreed to substantially cut their price to do the movie. [MTV]
