The Times Square Terrorist Car Was Bought On Craigslist

According to sources with CBS News, the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder that was used to hold a homemade bomb that was found in Times Square was sold on Craigslist. The buyer was believed to be of either “Middle-Eastern” or “Hispanic” in race. The car was bought for $1,300 with $100 bills.

The VIN number was removed from the dashboard of the car, but it was still stamped on the engine and axle. The license plates came from a car that was in found in a Connecticut repair shop.

An arrest has been made thus far, but actual person involved in the incident is unknown. [CNET]
