HP May Have A WebOS-Powered Tablet Available By Q3

Hewlett Packard recently acquired Palm Inc. and announced that they plan to double down on Palm’s WebOS. They also said that in the near-term, the company would “scale it across multiple connected devices.” The HP Slate device was also rumored to be canceled shortly after the acquisition announcement was made.

Perhaps HP plans to work closer with their newly acquired Palm subsidiary to plan a tablet to compete with the iPad. Rumor has it that Palm and HP are working together on a project called the Hurricane and it could be available by Q3 of this year. But the bigger question is whether you as the consumer would buy it.     Oh yeah! webOS is the BEST. I'm glad the canceled the Windows Phone 7 tablet. Windows Phone 7 is even more locked down than the iPhone with less ability (NO copy+paste, file access, multitasking, integration, etc.) and less apps.
