Microsoft Settles VirnetX VPN Patent Dispute For $200 Million

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has settled with VirnetX Holding Corporation on a patent dispute. Microsoft will pay VirnetX $200 million to license VPN technology from them.

“We are pleased to work with VirnetX to bring these cases to a successful resolution through this settlement,” stated Microsoft deputy general counsel Tom Burt. “We look forward to VirnetX’s continued progress as it develops its technologies.” [TechFlash]
