Facebook is one of the biggest influences on a girl’s life according to a survey conducted by National Family Week. A study was conducted on girls that are 8-15 years old. About 40% of the girls in the survey said that Facebook is one of the most important things in their lives.

A similar study conducted on boys resulted in a 6% importance. The survey that took place last month was based on 3,000 parents and 1,000 children across the U.K. Girls believed that Facebook is more influential than TV, magazines, celebrities, and even family. Facebook said that people should not register for an account unless they are age 13 and above. [BBC]
