Adult entertainment company Perfect 10 was denied a temporary injunction against RapidShare AG. On April 11, 2010, Perfect 10 submitted the injunction request at the District Court of the Southern District of California. Perfect 10 was attempting to prevent RapidShare from hosting images belonging to the magazine company. Perfect 10 argued that for 6.99 Euros, RapidShare offers the ability to downloaded copyright material. Full press release below.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched APIs for Google Latitude. Users will specifically need to allow Google Latitude access to an application before using the service. Some of the ideas that Google threw out there for applications that can be built on top of Google Latitude APIs include:

Urbanspoon has launched an OpenTable competitor using the iPad. The iPad application that Urbanspoon created to challenge OpenTable is called RezBook (part of Urbanspoon Rez). The application lets anyone interested in visiting restaurants set up a reservation ahead of time. RezBook will charge $1 per reservation plus a low monthly fee. [TechCrunch]

InterActiveCorp has acquired fitness and diet tracking social networking company DailyBurn. The acquisition was made through the buying of a majority stake. Cisco Systems has acquired digital signal processing company CoreOptics for $99 million in cash and retention-based incentives. The acquisition is subject to closing conditions and is expected to close by the second half of this year. [TechCrunchIT]

The HTC EVO 4G handset will be available for purchase from Sprint at a price of $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. RadioShack is offering it for the same price without requiring mail-in rebates. If the pre-order through RadioShack is placed before May 31st, you will also get a $20 in-store accessory credit. Unactiviated EVO 4G handsets can be bought for $499.99 at RadioShack as well.
