The Twitter application for the iPhone App Store is now available for download. The best part is that it is free. It has been about a month since Twitter acquired the Tweetie iPhone application company. Some of the new features include the ability to browse Twitter without the requirement of having an account. DOTGO has received Series A funding from EPIC Ventures and TomorrowVentures. The DOTGO platform allows any website to quickly create a mobile version with a focus on text messaging. Below is the full press release:

Rumor has it that Avid Life Media and two other prominent celebrity blogs have made an offer to buy out PerezHilton.com for $20 million. Avid Life also owns HotOrNot.com and AshleyMadison.com.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett has sent a subpoena to Twitter. Corbett is asking Twitter to “testify and give evidence regarding alleged violations of the laws of Pennsylvania”.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone is joining the board of directors at Digital Garage, a Twitter partner in Japan. Digital Garage started in 1995 and has incubated several large web brands. Stone will also be a mentor at Open Network Lab, a Digital Garage subsidiary that is similar to Y-Combinator. Other Digital Garage board members include Shawn Fanning, Tim O’Reilly, and Reid Hoffman.
