Microsoft Kin Promo Video Comes Off As Creepy [VIDEO]


I have to agree with Consumer Reports on this one. A promo video by Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) for the Kin mobile device comes off as being creepy. The promo video is about a girl named Rosa meeting her “social network,” including a guy that she never met before named Matty Goldberg. Check it out below:

Adam Sandler Acquires Rights To Viral Video “Pixels”


Adam Sandler has acquired the rights to a viral video called “Pixels.” Pixels came out about a week ago and was created by Patrick Jean of Onemoreproduction. The viral video depicts a bunch of retro video game characters taking over New York City. The acquisition was made through Adam Sandley’s Happy Madison production company. Happy Madison bought the rights to the video with the help of Columbia Pictures. Below is the original Pixels video:

Disney Takes Away Cheri Thomas’ Twitter Account


what the heck! I picked the @disney twitter name when twitter 1st came out and now they took it from me :( less than a minute ago via web


Twitter user Cheri Thomas of Los Gatos, California is a huge Disney fan. This is why she registered the @disney account on Twitter first as she was an early adopter. However Twitter gave that user name to the real Disney company according to TheDisneyBlog.com. It is pretty rare to hear about Twitter taking user names away from their users, but it could happen as explained by the company’s terms of use. My guess is that Thomas will be less of a Disney fan now. [TheDisneyBlog]

Waitress Fired For Complaining About Customer On Facebook


Ashley Johnson was a waitress at Brixx Pizza in North Carolina. Now she is out of a job because she complained about a small $5 tip that was left by a couple who sat at their table for about three hours. Ashley had to stay at work for an extra hour as a result.

The Pirate Bay Switches Web Hosts Due To Pressure From Hollywood Studios


Yesterday The Pirate Bay suffered downtime when their server hosting company stopped allowing traffic to their website. The Pirate Bay’s server hosting company received an injunction to shut down the torrent website.
