Chumby Raises Over $8 Million In Series B

Linux-based clock radio company Chumby has raised $8.78 million in Series B funding according to a regulatory filing with the SEC.  The firm plans to raise a total of $9.768 million.  Chumby’s clock radios are WiFi enabled and also has features such as a digital photo frame, news, and weather.  Chumby previously raised funding from Avalon Ventures, JK&B Capital, O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures, and Masthead Venture Partners.  Investors involved in this round is unknown.
