Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has signed soccer athlete David Beckham as the brand ambassador as part of the World Cup tournament. Beckham will be featured across Yahoo! websites before and after the World Cup.

The financial terms between Yahoo! and Beckham were undisclosed. The deal will be running through September. Yahoo! bought out the exclusive rights for online video highlights in Britain for the English Premier League. Beckham is not playing in the World Cup because of a ruptured Achilles tendon.
