Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is investing a lot of time and money on Windows Phone 7.  PocketGamer has reported that Microsoft is contacting several “successful iPhone developers” to port their applications to WP7 Marketplace for cash in return.  However porting apps over won’t be easy for developers.

While iPhone apps use Cocoa and relies on C++, WP7 apps requires developers to use Silverlight or XNA.  Microsoft plans to tweak their development environment to make porting C++ to XNA easier. Its interesting to see what measures Microsoft has to go to in order to make their mobile market place appealing.
