Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) now has ownership over the domain name Flicker.com. They attained the domain name through an anti-cybersquatting lawsuit filed against AshantiPLC. The lawsuit was filed in July 2009. AshantiPLC bought the domain name from an eBay auction for $55,000 in July 2006. AshantiPLC turned down a $700,000 offer in the past. Instead AshantiPLC placed digital camera ads all over Flicker.com. Yahoo! and AshantiPLC made an agreement through mediation last week. No word on what the deal was worth. [Domain Name Wire]
