Enterprise CRM company Salesforce.com, Inc. (NYSE:CRM) has announced the availability of their new social network for companies service called Chatter. Salesforce announced Chatter this past November and gave a small number of testers access to it.

Each team member gets their own profile and can follow each others activities. The ability to form and work in groups was one of the most demanded features throughout the development of the social network.

Salesforce.com’s Chatter is a direct competitor to Twitter-like business service Yammer. Chatter is “the most exciting thing I’ve worked on in my career,” said Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff.
