Verizon Competes Field Test Of 10 Gbps Via FiOS

Verizon Wireless said that they have completed a field trial of a fiber-optic system that will be able to provide a 10 Gbps connection to homes through FiOS.  Today Verizon’s speeds on FiOS range from 15-50 Mbps.  Verizon conducted the field test using a Motorola system in Taunton, Mass. [ZDNet]
