eBay Acquires RedLaser iPhone Application

eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY) has acquired the barcode-scanning iPhone application RedLaser and other related technologies from Occipital. RedLaser has been downloaded over two million times from the App Store.
RedLaser has the ability to look for deals on products from multiple websites after scanning barcodes. RedLaser is licensed to over 70 companies. eBay plans to integrate RedLaser into their own iPhone applications such as eBay Marketplace, Shopping.com, StubHub, and eBay Selling.
