Virgin Mobile will introduce a Novatel MiFi router next week according to Gearlog.  The Virgin Mobile MiFi turns a 3G signal into a WiFi hotspot for up to five devices and it will be completely prepaid.  The device will cost $149 and then run for about $10 (100MB) or $60 (5GB).  Virgin has the full data chart on their website.  Personally I’m excited for this because I plan to take a huge road trip later this summer and don’t want to get locked into any contracts for MiFi. The Virgin Mobile MiFi will be available at Radio Shack, Best Buy, and online starting June 28th. [Gearlog]

iFixit has taken an iPhone 4 and disassembled it to find out what is inside.  There is 512MB RAM inside, a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor (same as the Samsung Wave S8500), chemically strengthened Gorilla Glass front panel, and a 1420mAh Li-Polymer battery.  The battery is easy to remove and replace, but the LCD panel is tightly glued to the glass and digitizer.  The AGD1 3-axis gyroscope is believed to be made by ST Micro.  Broadcom provides the BCM4750IUB8 single-chip GPS receiver and the BCM4329FKUBG receiver to give the iPhone 4 802.11n WiFi, FM radio, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. Above is a chart generated by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster about what an application costs Apple to sell.  Apple currently claims that the App Store is at or near broke even.
Munster used two pieces of information to make these assumptions.  In Steve Jobs’ keynote two weeks ago, he said that 5 billion apps have been downloaded and $1 billion has been paid out to developers.  Below are some of Munster’s key points regarding those figures.
