Twitter May Monetize From Trending Topics
Twitter now has two ways of making money so far and they are considering a third option: Trending Topics. The first two ways Twitter is making money is a search licensing deal with Microsoft and Google along with a Promoted Tweets ad platform.

Apple Releases An iTunes Connect Mobile App
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) released a new application [iTunes link] called iTunes Connect Mobile for developers that want to see their sales on-the-go. Developers will be able to see daily and weekly sales data. This includes paid apps, free apps, and in-app purchases. The iPhone and iPod Touch application works with the iPhone OS 3.0 or higher. This is Apple’s sixth iPhone application that they created.

BPGlobalPR Parody Twitter Account Asked To Put Disclaimer
BP and Twitter sent in a request to the @BPGlobalPR account to put in a disclaimer saying that they are not associated with the oil company. The BPGlobalPR Twitter account is a parody account that makes fun of how the oil company is handling the major spill.

AT&T Confirms iPad Security Breach, FBI Asks Gawker To Retain Documents
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) admitted this past week that there was a security hole in their website which leaked customer email addresses. Goatse Security claimed that they were responsible for the intrusion. Goatse said that they exploited an opening in AT&T’s website for finding numbers that identify iPads that are connected to their service.

Twitter Hits Over 125 Million Users
Twitter reached another milestone. They have reached over 125 million registered users. About 2 months ago, the company had about 105 million users. This means the company is growing by about 300,000 accounts per day.

Reliance Acquiring 95% Of Infotel For $1 Billion
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced that the company will be paying $1 billion to acquire 95% of Infotel Broadband Services Pvt. Ltd. Infotel just won the rights to high-value radio spectrum in a government auction.

Microsoft Opening San Diego Store On June 24th
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is opening a store in San Diego on June 24th. This is the same day that the iPhone 4 is going for sale, meaning that there will probably be huge lines at the Apple store — which is four doors down.
