Spelling Corrections Added To Google Suggest


Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has added spelling corrections to Google Suggest. “This week we launched an update that makes Google Suggest even more intuitive and simple. If you’re typing a query for which there are no search completions to offer, and yet some of your search terms do seem to be misspelled, Google Suggest will now offer a “Did you mean” suggestion for your query—giving you an option to correct your spelling right away and get on with your search,” said Google VP of Search Products and User Experience Marissa Mayer on the Google Blog. Facebook Improves Analytics For Shared Content


Facebook has improved their analytics service for Facebook Insights. The improved Insight analytics will work for websites, Facebook Pages, and applications. Facebook Connect is required for the improved analytics to work. As a website owner, you can monitor analytics around what specific stories are liked on your website and how many users commented on posts made on your Facebook Page. Safari 5 Is Here


Apple just announced that Safari 5 is now available. Safari 5 has a 30% performance increase over Safari 4. Google, Yahoo!, and Bing can be selected as the default search. Safari 5 also has improved developer tools and over a dozen new HTML5 technologies. Press release after the jump.

Rod Blagojevich Tweeting During Federal Trial


Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has launched a Twitter account that he is using during the court case. “[L]ooking forward to opening statements because that will unlock the truth… stay tuned,” said Rod in an opening tweet. His trial is going to start tomorrow. You can follow his tweets below (after the jump). You can also follow his wife Patti at @pblagojevich. The account is new and Twitter still has yet to verify the account, but I’m fairly certain that it is real account.

OpenPeak Raises $52 Million From Existing Investors


Boca Raton based multimedia hardware company OpenPeak has raised $52 million from previous investors including Intel Capital, Horizon Technology Finance, Velocity Financial Group, and GE Capital.  The company recently announced the 7″ OpenTablet device that is powered by the Intel Atom processor.  Full press release below.

Apple iPhone 4 Coming To A Store Near You On June 24th [SPECS AND DETAILS]


Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs took the stage at the WWDC 2010 conference this morning and wowed everybody with the new iPhone 4. Over 5,200 people are attending the conference from across 57 countries. The conference sold out in 8 days. The first thing Steve Jobs talked about was the iPad. In an e-mail to Steve Jobs, a fan said “I was sitting in a cafe with my iPad, and it got a girl interested in me. Now that’s what I call a magical device!” The iPad has sold over 2 million units, meaning there is one selling every 3 seconds on average. The iPad will be available in 19 countries by July. The iPad store has 8,500 apps — which have been downloaded over 35 million times. About 95% of all apps submitted to the Apple App Store are approved within 7 days.

This Gold-Covered Ulysse Nardin Chairman Android Phone Costs $50,000


The Ulysse Nardin Chairman Android 2.1-powered phone costs $50,000. It has the such a high price for “status symbol” reasons. The dock for the phone has polished wood panels, USB ports, and speakers built in. The phone is also covered in diamonds. HTC EVO 4G Breaks Sprint Sales Records, Beating Palm Pre


The HTC EVO 4G went on sale this past Friday and smashed Sprint’s weekend sales records.  The EVO 4G is the first 3G/4G phone in the U.S.  This means that sales of the EVO 4G surpassed sales of the Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre.  Rumor has it that the phone sold over 200,000 units.  To see our previous HTC EVO 4G coverage, click on the category tag above.
