Facebook-Inspired Movie The Social Network Trailer Released [VIDEO]


The Social Network, a movie based on the life of Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just released a trailer. The film features Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg. The movie also stars Rashida Jones, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, and Joseph Mazzello. Check out the trailer below.

The unannounced BlackBerry Curve 9300 was given a hands on by TechnoBuffalo. The 9300 features an optical trackpad, redesigned punch, flush control buttons, new media buttons, volume rocker on the side, and a new back case design. Specs include 3G, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. White House Announces National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC)


Cybersecurity Coordinator and Special Assistant to the President Howard Schmidt wrote a blog post today about the release of the draft National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace.  The NSTIC was developed to increase the security and reduce vulnerabilities in cyberspace.

Google Has An Android Kill Switch


Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) had removed a phony Twilight-related application from any Android mobile phone that downloaded it using a “kill switch.” In a talk at the SummerCon event, security researcher Jon Oberheide created a pair of Android applications to show how easy it is to infect a large number of phones that run on the Android OS.  Jon used hidden software that turns devices into a “botnet” through a fake Twilight Eclipse that promises pictures from the upcoming movie.

Twitter Settles With The FTC On Security and Privacy Violation Charges


Twitter has made a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC believed that Twitter had “deceived consumers” by allowing hackers to get control over Twitter due to loose security.
