DownloadSquad did an HTML5 speed test on Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome 6. The results are staggering. Internet Explorer actually won… However IE9 is 30% slower than Chrome 6 and 10% faster than Firefox on the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark test.

And he is showcasing something very interesting.  Apparently when the person holds the iPhone 4 in their hands and touches the antenna band in two places, the reception drops completely.  But when the phone is put down, he gets almost full bars again. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched a new website called HTML5Rocks to showcase what can be done with HTML5.  This website counters a move made by Apple for displaying what can be done with HTML5 (Apple’s version can only be seen using Safari).  HTML5Rocks has 9 tutorials on HTML5 and there is also a code playground that lets you experiment with code. Gourmet Magazine is a publication owned by Conde Nast that was shut down this past October.  But now they are back… on the iPad as an application called Gourmet Live.  “We closed the magazine last fall but we did not close the brand,” said Conde Nast president of consumer marketing Robert Sauerberg.
