Twitter has announced a new feature called “Suggestions For You.” This feature suggests people who you do not already follow and that you may find interesting. The suggestions are based on people that you already follow and who they follow. This feature is tucked in the “Find People” section.

Netflix Pays More In Movie Licensing Costs Than Bandwidth

A crucial part of Netflix’s growth is their Watch Instantly service. Netflix is spending a vast amount of money in their streaming video services. In a recent 10-K filing with the SEC, Netflix revealed that they spent $66 million in the second quarter to license streaming titles for their Watch Instantly service. The year before that, Netflix spent $9 million.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has released a new version of Google Earth that has a weather layer. This way you can track images of rain and snow in real-time. To see the weather layers, enable the clouds layer and zoom in to a specific location. Check out some of the screenshots below:

IPs Linked To Major Corporations Downloaded Leaked Facebook Profile Pages Torrent

There is a 2.8GB torrent file floating around on several torrent websites that contains public profile information from Facebook. Ron Bowes of Skull Security created a Facebook crawler that pulled everything from Facebook’s open access directory.

Facebook: No IPO Until 2012

According to a source with BusinessWeek, Facebook is not planning to have an IPO until 2012. This gives CEO Mark Zuckerberg the flexibility to focus on gaining additional users and boost additional revenues. Previously investors were speculating that Facebook would have an IPO in 2011.

YouTube Increases Video Limit To 15 Minutes

YouTube has increased the upload limit to 15 minutes from the previous 10 minute limit. YouTube encourages people to make a video of your “15 minutes of fame.” If you tag your video with “yt15minutes,” by Wednesday, August 4, YouTube may select it and feature it on the homepage.
