Apple PR: Steve Jobs’ Conversation With Tom Is Fake

Earlier this week Boy Genius Report posted an e-mail exchange between Steve Jobs and a customer named Tom. Apple PR responded to that blog post saying that the conversation is fake.

In the allegedly fake conversation, Steve Jobs is attempting to calm down an angry customer and even told him “Retire, relax, enjoy your family. It is just a phone.”

AppleInsider was contacted to buy the same conversation about two days earlier by a Virginia man who wanted to sell the conversation for an unspecified amount of money. No word on whether Boy Genius Report paid for the conversation and for how much.
