Coca-Cola’s Promoted Twitter Trend Leads To 86 Million Impressions

The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) recently ran a Promoted Trends campaign on Twitter and the results are impressive. Promoted Trending topics have to resonate or it will disappear. The Trending Topic ad costs about tens of thousands of dollars according to Coke VP of Marketing Carol Kruse.

In about 24 hours, Coca-Cola’s first Promoted Trend led to about 86 million impressions and a 6% engagement rate. Coca-Cola ran its Promoted Trend campaign on June 23rd during the World Cup match. Coke’s tweet was a congratulations to England and USA. [InventorSpot]
