This past Sunday around 10PM, a family in Victoria, Australia were driving but ended up getting in a car crash in order to avoid hitting a kangaroo. There was 5 people in the car: three children, their mother, and her partner. The mother was stranded in the wreck until her 7 year old son calmly used his Nintendo DS as a light to find his mother’s mobile phone to call emergency services.

After that the 7 year old Christopher helped his little brother out of the crash before his mother was able to get free. Chris was nominated by the local ambulance service for a Community Hero Award.
