YouTube has increased the upload limit to 15 minutes from the previous 10 minute limit. YouTube encourages people to make a video of your “15 minutes of fame.” If you tag your video with “yt15minutes,” by Wednesday, August 4, YouTube may select it and feature it on the homepage.

YouTube spent time to improve their Content ID system, which s why they can offer 15 minutes now.

If you have a previous video that was rejected for being too long, go to “My Videos” and delete that video. Then re-upload it.
