Twitter has announced a new feature called “Suggestions For You.” This feature suggests people who you do not already follow and that you may find interesting. The suggestions are based on people that you already follow and who they follow. This feature is tucked in the “Find People” section.

If you find the suggested user interesting, click on follow. If you do not find it interesting, click on Hide and Twitter will remove them from suggestions. Twitter is also providing this feature as an API for developers to use when creating desktop, mobile, and web applications.
