Earlier this week I wrote about how the Fring iPhone app lets you make video calls over 3G. This would allow you to connect a phone to a computer with Skype. Due to overwhelming popularity, Fring had to temporarily suspend access to Skype in order to “free up capacity” for better Fring-to-Fring video calls. [Erictric]

iChatr is a free iPhone application that connects you to other random iPhone 4 users in the world. To make the app work, you have to be connected to WiFi and wear headphones. If you get bored of a person, then just swipe the screen and you will be connected to another person. This is a nifty app for those who are into the speed dating concept. I have only 2 friends that have an iPhone 4 so this gives another opportunity to utilize the FaceTime feature more too. The application idea is very similar to webcam/chatroom website Chatroulette. A new ad from Motorola points out the antenna issue that the iPhone 4 has. The ad shows the phone with lines pointing to highlighted features. At the bottom is phone description that includes the sentence: “And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls.” I drew an arrow to that sentence in the ad.

During the July 4th weekend, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) opened a new retail store in Paris, France. This is not an ordinary looking store whatsoever. This is probably the most artistic Apple store I have seen. In case you plan to be in Paris and want to visit the store,
Here is the address:
Paris, Opéra
12 rue Halévy
75009, Paris
