Discovery Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:DISCA) has filed a lawsuit against Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN). Discovery Communications said that this is a procedural move and not a new lawsuit.

News Corporation social subsidiary MySpace is acquiring social messaging service Threadbox. “We’re thrilled to announce that the talented Threadbox team has joined MySpace. We’re in active discussions about how we can incorporate their innovative technology into our site,” said a MySpace spokesperson.

Webcam speed dating service Chatroulette has launched two new features this past week. The two new features include Channelroulette, a themed channel and Localroulette, a localized version of the website. Localroulette automatically connects people to local editions of Chatroulette based on the IP address. Chatroulette shows the most popular custom channels on their website. The Washington Post Company has bought out iCurrent, a service where people can view news according to their interests. There is no word on what the acquisition price, but VentureBeat speculates that it is above $5 million. iCurrent was funded by Crosslink Capital, who plugged in about $3 million since the news company started in 2007. Apple has began to develop the new 11.6-inch MacBook Air and the next generation iPod Touch. The new Macbook is expected to have an even slimmer design with a 11.6 inch-display and will contain features such as an Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor. Although they are anticipated to do well in the market, Apple is only expected to release 400,000 units of the MacBook Air sometime in the second half of 2010. The next generation iPod Touch will contain have a 3-megapixel camera, which will be capable of both photo and video recordings. There may also be other newer features, including a “non-phone” version of Apple’s FaceTime. The iPod touch is expected to be released sometime in August or September and Apple is expected to produce 17-18 million units of the new device. [DigiTimes]

One of the best features on the Apple iPhone 4 is the real-time communication tool called FaceTime. With FaceTime, users are able to speak to each other while being able to see each other through video much like a webcam. This service is currently only available on the iPhone 4. However BoyGeniusReport has shed light on the matter of integrating FaceTime with other Apple devices such as the iPod and the iPad.

The executives at Foursquare took home about $4.64 million as part of payments to “any of the persons required to be named as executive officers, directors, or promoters.” The $4.64 million was part of the $20 million Series B reported within the last month. The take-home payment was reported in the funding SEC filing. The rest of the $15.4 million will be used for company growth. [BusinessInsider]
