Etsy is an e-commerce service that has grown at a rapid pace. Etsy is especially popular with people who make crafts and sell them online. Recently Etsy raised $20 million in Series E with Index Ventures being the lead investor in this round. Danny Rimer of Index will be taking a position on Etsy’s board of directors as well.

Etsy’s current board of directors includes Jim Breyer, Fred Wilson, Caterina Fake, and Rob Kalin. This round of funding puts Etsy at a pre-money valuation of close to $300 million according to TechCrunch. Etsy expects their 2010 revenue to be between $30 and $50 million. Etsy currently has about 125 employees.
