Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has hired viral YouTube sensation Paul “Bear” Vasquez, also known as the Double Rainbow guy to do an ad for them. The original Double Rainbow video has over 15 million views on YouTube and the auto-tuned remix of Double Rainbow has close to 9 million YouTube views.

Vasquez did a video ad for Windows Live Photo Gallery. Connor Lanman decided to hire Vasquez for the job and the rest of the Microsoft team initially thought he was crazy. After Connor e-mailed Vasquez and they agreed on the idea, Microsoft flew him over to Seattle and they did a 10 hour shoot.

In addition to this video, Microsoft also made a video called “Meet Bear,” which will be released soon. That video is an interview where Bear talks about his love for sharing photos and videos with Windows Live Essentials.
