2 Month Data: Reddit Traffic Increases 24%, Digg Traffic Drops 26%

The Reddit alien logo is one happy camper right now. Reddit’s traffic has been surging over the last two months. During Digg’s peak, they were hitting 40 million unique visitors per month, but ever since they launched a new design, traffic has been down 26%.

When Digg launched the new design, it was very buggy and the features were not favored by users. By the time Digg tweaked the features based on user feedback, it was too late.

Reddit lead developer Christopher Slow said that traffic has increased 24% over the last 2 months during Digg’s redesign launch. The Reddit numbers were holding steady as well. Below is a screenshot:
