Best Buy’s Incubator Launches First Company Called Tecca

Tecca [iTunes Link] is the first company to come out of Best Buy’s incubator division. Best Buy put Tecca together through a partnership with Fuse Capital. Tecca is an iPhone and Android application that compares Best Buy’s prices with other retailers. The focus of the application includes discovery (bar code scanning), research (user reviews, specs, etc)., and shopping price comparisons. Tecca makes money from affiliate sales. Tecca is lead by CEO Mickie Rosen and there are 7 people on the staff. There is also 10 editorial people on staff. [paidContent]
