VideoEgg Acquires Six Apart, Renaming Company To Say Media


Ad network VideoEgg has announced that they are acquiring marketing and blogging company Six Apart. Six Apart and VideoEgg will combine businesses and rename themselves to Say Media.

Say Media will use VideoEgg’s technology with Six Apart’s blogging technology. In a press release, Say Media said they could help ad companies reach as many as 345 million consumers.

VideoEgg CEO and co-founder Matthew Sanchez will will be the head of Say Media. Six Apart CEO Chris Alden is expected to quit the company. Six Apart co-founder Mena Trott will join the board of directors.

VideoEgg started in 2005 and Six Apart shut down the Vox blogging platform, but they plan to keep supporting Typepad and Moveable Type.
