Samsung Bada Announces 10 Million App Downloads

The Samsung Wave runs on the Bada operating system and it has hit 1 million sales. During the one-year anniversary, Samsung Electronics announced that the number of Samsung Apps downloads for the Bada operating system surpassed the 10 million mark.

Samsung Apps launched in September 2009 across Europe and Asia. The phone sells in 34 countries in Europe and across 109 markets. “Bada” means “ocean” in Korean. The top three application downloads for the Bada operating system includes the games Need for Speed Shift, My Mirror, and Magic Torch. Magic Torch turns the phone into a flashlight and My Mirror turns the phone into a virtual mirror so you can see your reflection.

The Wave launched last February and features a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. The Wave also has a 1GHz processor, 5 magepixel camera, camera with LED flash, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
