Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) has announced plans to spend about $100 billion over the next 10 years to expand operations in China. Dell will also increase revenues by offering additional products in China, the world’s second large economy. Dell will open an operations center in Chengdu and will create additional offices in Xiamen. Dell had already spent about $23 billion in China in 2009. [BusinessWeek]

The assault on the MPAA website is suspected to be in retaliation to an Indian tech firm that bragged about how they launched similar attacks on several torrent websites. Qik has been able to demonstrate full video screen calls between two Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets. However Qik will only be able to run on devices that use the ARM Cortex-A8 processor for now. This is a blow to BlackBerry non-believers: Research In Motion Limited (NASDAQ:RIMM) has sold a record number of BlackBerry devices this quarter. During RIM’s second fiscal quarter, revenues have increased 31% to $4.62 billion when compared to last year during the same period. RIM sold 12.1 million devices this quarter. This is a 45% increase in devices sold compared to a year ago. RIM now has about 50 million subscribers.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has added public-transportation directions to Bing Maps services. These public transit directions are currently available in 11 metro areas across North America. “Transit options are available for bus, subway, light rail, and local rail,” stated Microsoft Bing Maps associate product manager Brian Hendricks. The cities included in the new public transit directions on Bing include Boston, Chicago, LA, Minneapolis, New Jersey, NYC, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, D.C., and Vancouver. [CNET]
