Intel Is Not Happy About The HDCP Crack Leak

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has threatened legal action against anyone who uses the leaked crypto HDCP key that was leaked on the Internet. The key can be used to build hardware that defeats the purpose of HDCP technology used for limiting the home recording of digital TV and/or Blu-ray. Intel said that there are laws to protect I.P. involved and the content created by content providers.

The program encourages students and staff to connect with each other through events, traditions, and landmarks. Each campus has a profile that users can follow. Currently there are about 20 universities participating. The current universities in the program include Harvard, Stanford, and Syracuse. Students and staff can share tips with each other too. Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) expects to hit $1 billion in revenue from sales of digital books by 2013. B&N hopes to hit a 25% market share in the e-book market by then, according to CEO William Lynch. B&N’s revenue from their digital division totaled $144 million in Q1 of 2011. B&N reported $1.4 billion in revenue for this quarter. This include sales from the Nook e-book reading device and the company’s 717 physical stores. [PCWorld]

SPA! magazine wrote a story about Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs getting stopped for bringing ninja throwing stars aboard his private plane.
Supposedly a security scan at the Kansai International Airport near Osaka detect the weapons inside the carry-on luggage as he was returning home. Turns out the whole story was B.S., or “pure fiction” as Apple responded. But that did not stop Jimmy Lai’s Next Media Animation from creating an animation about the altercation. Best of all, it was created in house without the help of a big advertising agency and costed less than $3,000. The video surpassed 1 million views on YouTube on the first day. The 2 minute ad follows the life of a Twitter user as he prepares for a romantic date.

Warner Brothers Entertainment, Inc. CEO Barry Meyer said that his company decided not to join Apple for the 99 cents iTunes TV show rentals deal because they believed the price was too low and “would have hurt sales of full seasons.”
