Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is turning off social media for a week for all students in residence. This means no IM, Twitter, or Facebook for a week. The only form of electronic communication available will be e-mail. University Provost Eric Darr said he wants to have the temporary ban because he wants students to think about the impact that technology has in our daily lives.

Casio has released two new digital cameras. The Casio EXILIM Card EX-S200 and the ZOOM EX-Z800 models have a compact and stylish body design. The Sanyo Innuendo is being added on Sprint for a price of $49.99 with a 2 year contract. Or you can buy the device at full retail for $249.99 without the contract. The Innuendo is a horizontal flip phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The device has a 2.8-inch internal display screen with a 1.3-inch OLED external display. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Wi-Fi iPad will be available for customers in China from Apple Retail Stores and certain Apple Authorized Resellers starting this Friday, September 17 at 10AM. iPad users will be able to surf the web, read/send e-mail, share photos, listen to music, watch HD videos, play games, read e-books, etc. The Wi-Fi iPad models are 0.5 inches thick and weighs 1.5 pounds. Even though the Apple TV is on the way, Boxee has put the Boxee Box device up for pre-order at a price of $199.99 on Amazon.com. The Boxee Box is expected to arrive in November. The Boxee Box ships with a QWERTY remote, 802.11n connectivity, and supports the upcoming Boxee 1.0 release.
