Social Media Management Software Company Syncapse Raises $2 Million

Syncapse is a social media technology and software company that has raised $2 million in funding from the Business Development Bank of Canada. This is Syncapse’s second round of funding after they raised $3.3 million in private equity financing.

Syncapse used the initial funding for global expansion and to invest in product development for SocialTALK. Syncapse started in 2007 and they invested almost $10 million in product development in 2010. They plan to invest a similar amount in the next year as well.

Syncapse’s board of directors include Rob Burgess, former CEO of Macromedia and Ian Giffen, Chairman of The Descartes Systems Group.
