Microsoft Announces 10 Windows Phone 7 Devices Across 30 Countries

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) hosted an event in New York City today to announce new smartphones powered by the Windows Phone 7 operating system. There will be 9 new WP7 smartphones heading to Europe and Asia on October 21st. U.S. consumers will be getting their hands on WP7 devices in early November, just-in-time for the holiday season.

The phones will be on 60 cellphone operator companies in over 30 countries. The carriers include Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung. The carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile USA, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom AG, O2, Orange, SingTel, Telstra, etc.

Microsoft plans to launch even more WP7 devices in 2011 including phones for Sprint and Verizon. Below is a list of the new phones Microsoft announced:

– HTC 7 Surround (HTC T8788) — This phone has a slideout speaker and is headed to AT&T and Telus
– HTC HD7 — Schubert has a 4.3 inch screen and is heading to T-Mobile and other carriers
– HTC 7 Trophy — The Trophy has a 3.8-inch screen and will be available on international carriers
– HTC 7 Mozart — The Mozart has a 3.7-inch display and will be on international carriers
– Dell Venue Pro — The Dell WP7 phone has a 4.1-inch screen and has a QWERTY slider. This phone will be available for T-Mobile.
– Samsung Focus — This phone has a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen.
– Samsung Omnia 7 (i8700) — The Omnia has a 4-inch super AMOLED screen and will be available in Europe.
– LG Optimus 7 (E900) – The Optimus 7 has a 3.8-inch screen
– LG Quantum (C900) — The Quantum has a 3.5-inch screen and has a landscape slider
– HTC 7 Pro — This phone has a QWERTY slider and has 3.6-inch screen. This phone is headed to Sprint.
