LivingSocial is a company that was big on developing social Facebook applications. After seeing some success there, they turned their attention to group coupon deals. And they have just acquired a company related to planning group trips called Urban Escapes. Through the acquisition, LivingSocial will now be able to offer weekend excursions to people who sign up through LivingSocial’s daily deals.
