YouTube Hits 1 Billion Subscriptions

In 2006, YouTube added a subscribe button for following certain channels. YouTube announced today that the subscribe button has been hit 1 billion times. MachinimaSports was the channel that hit one billion mark. There are 15 YouTube channels that have surpassed one million followers. The channels include fred, nigahiga, kassemg, shanedawsonTV, shanedawsonTV2, smosh, universalmusicgroup, machinima, sxephil, davedays, mysteryguitarman, kevjumba, realannoyingorange, raywilliamjohnson, failblog, and collegehumor.
