Paul Ceglia is a man in New York that is claiming that he is entitled to 84% ownership in social networking website Facebook.com. Ceglia’s lawyers are arguing that since Mark Zuckerberg lives out of a duffel bag, the lawsuit should be tried in the state of New York. They claim Zuckerberg has not set his legal roots in California.

Stack Overflow recently hit 1 million questions and they receive about 60 million page views per month. Stack Overflow runs on only 5 servers. Social bookmarking service Digg.com receives 200 million pageviews per month and runs on 500 servers. Proportionately something seems off according to Joel Spolsky, the co-founder of Stack Overflow.

DeviantART is a 10 year old website known for having an extremely vibrant stock photography community. There are about 15 million members on the website. DeviantART recently announced that they will be working with Fotolia to allow members to start selling their stock photography. “DeviantART is the purest of all artist communities throughout the world. It works on democratic philosophy that complements our goals with Fotolia,” said Fotolia in a statement. DeviantART also recently released an HTML5 painting application that works on the iPad. Tango is a mobile video chat application that launched a couple of weeks ago. The company reported that they hit 1 million mobile application downloads in 10 days. The Tango application allows users to video chat on Android and iOS on 3G, 4G, and Wi-Fi.

Alibaba.com Limited (HKG:1688) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) have partnered with each other to create a new website called Etao. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) owns about 40% of Alibaba.com. Etao has the potential to be a major competitor to Baidu Inc. in China. Etao would also drive traffic to Alibaba’s retail website Taobao.com.

xAD is a mobile advertising that creates local ads. The company has raised $4 million in funding from Emergence Capital Partners. xAD is already profitable but they plan to use the funding for expansion and advancing their technology platform. xAD can identify, who, what, and where end users are and serves them relevant advertising. xAD currently serves 200 million local ad requests per month and has partnered with large mobile ad networks like Millenial Media for providing local ads.
