(NASDAQ:GOOG) CEO was on the program Parker Spitzer on CNN last week and he had used an interesting choice of words when it came to what people though about Google Street View. “Street View, we drive exactly once,” stated Schmidt in referral to the Google Street View cars driving around and take photos. “So, you can just move, right?” Schmidt added “This is not a monitoring situation.” Seems like a pretty smug response to a legitimate question. People have privacy concerns when pictures of their houses appear on the Internet.

Mail.ru has filed to go public on the London Stock Exchange. Mail.ru, also known as Digital Sky Technologies, has preparing for the IPO since May 2009. Mail.ru said that they are “well positioned to benefit from the expected growth of the Russian internet advertising market and the increase in internet value-added services.” Some of the proceeds earned from the IPO would be used to increase their stake in Russian social network vKontakte to 32.49% from 24.99%. Mail.ru hopes to raise $876 million from the IPO, giving them a $5.7 billion valuation. Mail.ru has equity in Facebook, Groupon, and Zynga through Digital Sky Technologies. [paidContent]

More details about the Samsung Galaxy Tab has been revealed. The device will be available in the U.S. next month and it will have have a 7-inch screen. The operating system it will be running on is Android 2.2. There will be a WiFi and a WiFi+3G model. Verizon will sell the device in black and Sprint will sell the device in silver. The starting price is $400 with no-MIRs. The 3G service will be available through Verizon or Sprint.

Skype asked Nimbuzz to remove support for all Skype services starting October 31st. Nimbuzz created a mobile application that can access multiple VoIP services such as MSN, Google Talk, Skype, and ICQ. Nimbuzz has about 30 million users and clocked about 3.5 billion mobile VoIP minutes. Skype plans to disconnect all third party VoIP services in anticipation of their IPO.
