Oracle To Deliver Free and Paid Java Virtual Machines

Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) plans to deliver two types of Java Virtual Machines (JVMs): one free and one paid. The JVMs will be based on JRockit VM and the Hotspot JVM under the OpenJDK project. The news was revealed by tweets that were being sent out from QCon San Francisco, an event where the company discussed their plans for Java. Oracle did not reveal the costs of the paid JVM yet.
