Apple iPad May Not Sell As Well As Analysts Had Planned

Analysts were previously estimated that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would sell 6 million iPads this quarter. However Rodman & Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar is predicting that Apple may sell as few as 5 million touch-screen tablets.

It appears that customers are cutting back their spending for new smartphones and laptops rather than tablets. Supposedly Samsung is also cutting back production of the Galaxy by 50% because of poor sales as well.

OMG, another "analyst" that a claims won't go as he thought they should. When I was a kid that person was called a fortune teller, and you didn't pay much attention to them. When did that change?

    Definition of ANALYST
1: a person who analyzes or who is skilled in analysis

this means it is someone who is looking at past data, you can't analyze future events that haven't given you data yet. Or are we using analysts as fortune tellers now?
